Experience

For many years of experience in dentistry and the orthodontics field, Dr. Ortiz Cedeno continues to hone his craft by taking additional courses in dentistry, such as Invisalign certification. He moved to the United States, and after completing the national dental requirements, he was accepted in 2019 into the University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health to complete his advanced education in general dentistry (AEGD) residency program in Rochester, New York, where he was subsequently able to obtain his American board dental license. Dr. Ortiz Cedeno has also taken additional courses regarding temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, oral surgery, esthetic dentistry, and more.  Dr. Ortiz Cedeno is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the West Coast District Dental Association, the Ecuadorian Dentistry Association, the Academy of International Dentistry, the Ecuadorian Association of Orthodontics, and the Mexican Academy of Orthodontics.

When he isn't practicing dentistry, Dr. Ortiz Cedeno enjoys playing tennis and soccer, going to the gym, spending time with family and friends, and traveling the world. Dr. Ortiz Cedeno is also fluent in Spanish and English.

Experience

After working as a general dentist for several years, Dr. Fatima returned to the University of Florida College of Dentistry to specialize in periodontics. As a periodontist, Dr. Fatima firmly believes in treating periodontal disease and achieving a healthy oral environment. Being a periodontist also means being a specialist in implants, and when a tooth cannot be saved, it can be replaced with an implant. Dr. Ortiz Cedeno is an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast District Dental Association, Ecuadorian Dentistry Association, Academy of International Dentistry, Ecuadorian Association of Orthodontics, and the Mexican Academy of Orthodontics.
